The MacBook Air which is Apple’s latest Intel-based laptop happens to be the lightest, thinnest laptop Apple has ever made. True to its design, Apple claims that it’s the thinnest laptop ever made. It is made of Aluminium chassis which is much more fingerprint resistant than any usual laptops.

With MacBook Air’s incredibly small size and light weight, gone are days when users would have to think twice before bringing their laptop with them. The 13.3 inch display, built-in with an iSight camera, mic and a LED-backlit display has certainly taken the innovations in the laptop arena to a new level.

The LED-backlit display automatically adjusts the screen brightness in response to the light in the room through the ambient light sensor. The apple track pad has also got a make-over. The new Air book’s track pad measures 5 inches diagonally making it comparatively larger than any track pads which allows users to use three fingers rather than the usual two fingers.


The multi-touch gestures enable the user to track their Web browser history. And if you love Iphone’s zoom-in and zoom-out features, you can do the same with Mac Air Book.

However, not the whole thing is in the new MacBook Air. The lack of replaceable batteries is one of the many complaints. One has to spend a minimum of $129 for a new MBA Air book battery replacement but only by returning the machine to Apple.


The very limited Wi-Fi connectivity and the single USB jack slot are some of the identified shortcomings of MacBook Air. The design may be revolutionary and aesthetically appealing, but the price is too much for an eye candy laptop.
